1. Introduction Try to choose
ice breaker games
that have relevance to the session. Welcome, Getting to know each other, check in, asses accomplishments, breakdowns, learnings, expectations and norms, build trust, relationship and break barriers. Introduce theme/ topic/ purpose of the session/lesson. 2. Activity Main core activity, game or exercise + theory. 3. Questions + Theory 1. Awareness: What happened? What were responses? What roles, behaviours, emotions, words were present? Who did what? How did they do it? What did you do? Your behaviour? You role? What breakdowns were present? What accomplishments happened? What worked? What did you find interesting? 2. Appreciative Inquiry/ Questioning: Explore deeper? What were motivations/ thoughts/ feelings underneath? Were there any edges? Triggers? Values? Where does this learned behaviour/ response come from? Does it work? In all situations? What did people want to happen? What could be done differently next time? start broad, and move into specific open ended questions. 3. Real Life – Has this happened to you or anyone you know? Explore specific situations. How does this apply at work? 4. Root causes/ related issues – Dig deeper. Ask Why Does This Happen? What is the self talk? Conditioning? What would need to shift for a new outcome to take place? What are the fears? Desires? Aspirations? What are the limiting assumptions? How true are these assumptions? 5. Future-focused: Solutions/ alternatives and action planning: What alternative assumption could be made? What is possible? What opportunties exist? What resources and support is there right now? What consequences could happen if an alternative plan was carried out? What difference would it make if this breakthrough could be had? What is the vision? What does it feel/ taste/ sound, look/ small like? What small actions could move it in that direction? What would we need to believe for these actions to be implemented? What is the desire level? Commitmnent level? Confidence Level? Move from general to personal, from personal to general – see action learning cycle 4.Closing - Round Robin: complete this sentence. Examples: My learning from today is....; I feel more comfident to.....; I wish......; If only......; What worked for me is.... What I'm taking with me is.... Acknowledgements/ Completing conversations
