Motivational vs. Inspirational

Motivation is driven by external goals.In other words, you are motivated to take action towards an accomplishment you perceive to have a reward of some kind.

Inspiration comes from the Inside Out. Inspiration flows when you are guided by God/ Higher purpose/ Consciousness.

Motivation happens when you ask ’What do I want?’ and Inspiration happens when you ask as Eckardt Tolle suggest ‘What does Life want from me?’ If you want true employee motivation... start asking your team this question. 'What does life want from you? What does life want from this business? What does life want from this team?


Workplace Motivation

If employees are uninspired by personal and team purpose and mission, workplace motivation will be one big uphill sweat. Business culture often promotes sacrificing the individual over the business mission.

That’s all very well - but if the business mission has no connection or meaning for employees – their own drive will be for monetary reward or recognition. Both of which do not generate excellence. Invest more energy in finding team members who love the business vision and mission. You can not force someone into a mission that is not true for their spirit.
